Extreme, explosive spin meets control and precision with the HAWK TOUR

Extreme, explosive spin meets control and precision with the HAWK TOUR RPET, an innovative co-polyester tennis string made from recycled PET materials

Classification

Tour

Tournament player with a very good technique and a powerful and fast swing.

Construction

Monofilament

Main benefit is control. Construction is a single tube of filament.

Main Benefit

Spin

The rotation given to the ball upon impact. A racquet designed for spin enhances the ability to generate topspin or slice, which can increase ball movement, control, and unpredictability for the opponent.

Shape

Edged/Shaped

These have a shaped or textured profile designed to grip the ball better and generate more spin. The sharp edges help "bite" the ball, increasing spin potential and control. However, they may wear out faster and can be rougher on other strings in a hybrid setup.

My new Go To String

After tinkering for a couple years with all sorty of sting from Poly, to Nat Gut to Hybrid, you name it , I tried it. This one is my new go to and am done messing around. Off the string bed I did not love it at all, but give it an hour or so . I strung at low tension 44 , next time will bump it up to 48 . It is the goldilox of strings it just does everything well not exeptional. Control is the best, has spin, touch, feel. It is not stiff or mushy . I have had elbow issues in the past no problem. Lower launch angle for a string like this , but I like that . I can hit out more and they stay in. I purchased from my local tennis shop and stoked. Hope it comes in other colors someday. Just give it a little break in, you will enjoy these.
